Why Haikii?

So, you might be wondering: where the hell did we come up with the name of our site?

Well, it's a long story, but some of the Finn visitors we have here, might have already noticed the little pun in the name ;D

We were brainstorming the name of our site at our animeclub Bakanat's Christasparty last year and someone (I think it was penpen) came up with the name "häikii", which means something like "shines too brightly" in a very strong dialectical Finnish.

Well, you can't have "ääkköset" (å/ö/ä) in the site names, so we thought about turning the name into haikii. And as the name was said for the first time, a huge laughter errupted.
See, hai-kii basically means: catch a shark. (hai= shark, kii=catch/capture (with the Lahti dialect of Finnish ^^) XD We fell in love with the name immediately and that was it, we had a name to our site. =P ... and so, Kisame became our mascot =P
